Directions
From Galway city via Moycullen
From Galway take the N59 (the Galway-Clifden road), pass through Recess and turn left onto the R340 to Carna. Travel straight ahead to Carna and when you reach the crossroads take a right turn into Carna village. Take a left turn immediately after ‘Tí Mheaic’ Pub. Follow on this road for approximately ¼ mile and the Carna Research Station is located on the left hand side of the road.
From Galway city via Spiddal
From Galway take the R336. Continue on this road taking a right turn at Casla. At Screebe take a left turn onto the R340 to Carna. Turn left at Carna crossroads and take the next left turn immediately after Tí Mheaic’s Pub. Follow on this road for approximately ¼ mile and the Carna Research Station is located on the left hand side of the road.
